When is breeding season?!

Kind of new to snakes and other reptiles. So when is snake breeding season? Like when does it start and when are snakes born? The snake i'm talking about is a Red tail boa. and how long will it take to get snakes?

Re: When is breeding season?!

The dry season for ther region between april and march but thers a lot to it with precise environmental conditions begining in nov or dec if I remember right and the time table to birth seems to vary a lot so its hard to say but id get more fermiliar with snakes care and other requirements before heading that direction it can be quite a dangerous process for the snakes if not done properly

Re: When is breeding season?!

not trying to be cheeky

as suggested you should do more research that way you will be prepared for every eventuality come breeding time

over here i have to change my carpets routine 6 months forward from their native country to match our winters

i start my cooling cycle end of september begining of october

warming them back up with the introduction of the males mid to late january

theres plenty good research out there regards cooling cycles and breeding

marvelfreak has reccommended some books i'd start with those and take it from there

cheers shaun
