Photo appears on National Geographic's Daily Dozen - need your votes!

I wanted to share a bit of happy news that I received this morning. Over the weekend my husband, daughter, and I took an impromptu trip to Cincinnati and visited the zoo (and aquarium and a few other things too). While we were viewing the Western Lowland Gorillas I was fortunate to be able to capture a mother and her child napping together. I submitted this photo to National Geographic’s “Your Shot” site on Tuesday and this morning was thrilled to see that it had been selected as the first photo on today’s Daily Dozen. Individuals from all over the world are permitted to submit one photo per month and 12 photos are chosen each day. Visitors to the site are encouraged to vote for their favorite and at the end of the month the photo with the most votes will appear in the print magazine.
