minor setback

I wasn't able to get my snake last week like a was hoping. But that's just as well, now I will have time to build the right cage for it. My plans for this week are to buy everything I need for it and have it ready to go in the next couple of weeks.
I'm going to make it 4'x2'x2' out of red oak with a glass door. I have it all planed out and should look pretty sharp when its finished. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.

Re: minor setback

I got one question. What should I use for vents on my cage? I thought about using 4" round PVC vents on the back of the cage, just not sure how many. Unless there is something else that would look and function better.

Re: minor setback

my 4x2x2ft vivs all have 5 of the 4inch vents in the back.

top of back of viv has 1 far right,1 far left and 1 in the middle

bottom back of viv has 1 far right and 1 far left

this works great for me as we dont really have humidity problems over here.also carpets have no real humidity needs

its better you get your set up up and running for at least 48 hours before your new snake arrives.that way you will be able to sort out any problems that may arise before your snake gets there.

look forward to pictures of your set up and snake when you get it

cheers shaun
