humidity

just wondering how exactly are you supposed to read the humidity levels in the tank. it might seem like a stupid question to some of you but is it just a mater of your own judgement or can you buy things like a thermometer that read humidity?

Hygrometer. A lot of people will tell you to by digital. I say go to your local smoke shop and buy what the big cigar smokers use. Those guys spend a fortune on their smokes and don't want them drying out.

Re: humidity

hygrometer, you can buy them off ebay for a reasonable price. Mine are going to be digital and join with my thermostat from now on as they are great.

Re: humidity

hmm alright thanks guys, just another quick question, what would be the best way to set a light up for a snake if i was to put it in a tub instead of a tank? could i just cut a part out of the lid and put a screen over the hole?
