New to the boards

Hello all,

I'm Clint, and I'm joining up to learn about some personal experiences with snakes, mainly ball pythons, before I purchase one.

I've always liked snakes, and am looking forward to having one.

I won't put too many questions in here, as I will ask them in the appropriate forums, and I'm happy to say that browsing the board has already answered quite a few.

I will be lurking and learning, however I doubt I will post much, unless I have questions after I get my snake, or possibly prior to purchasing one.

Cheers

wavey.gif Hello and welcome! wavey.gif

You know Balls are nice, but have you thought about a Carpet Python? Less feeding prombles, a lot more active and better looking IMO.(kind of like me) LOL Myself i think carpet are a better starter snake. Not saying ball aren't fun to own just saying carpet IMO are a more rewarding snake to own. Just a little food for thought.

Anyway nice to have you join us.

Carpet python wasn't one that came up in my discussions with people on a good starter snake.

Why are they, to you, a more rewarding snake?

They don't really have any special humidity requirements like most snakes. They are a little more forgiving if the temps aren't perfect, most of them are very photogenic and like to be handled so you can take lots of cool pics of them. They are always fun to watch at dusk because they are always climbing all over they're cages and branches. They are curios and love to explore they're environment.

Re: New to the boards

Hello and welcome to the site. Carpets are great snakes and many of us are addicted to them because of the easy husbandry and great personalities.
