Re: Hey chomper! A challenger appears!
He has a stumped tail. He's one of the lizards I rescued this month.
I'll get some more pictures in the morning.

Re: Hey chomper! A challenger appears!
I meant a challenger for pictures, not a challenger for a death match! Sheesh, monitors are carnivores, this guy is an insectivore!
He's about 2 feet long. (He'd be about 3 if his tail was intact)

Re: Hey chomper! A challenger appears!
Depends on how well chomper climbs and swims. These guys live in trees on the banks of lakes, rivers, and streams. When a predator comes a chompin' they dive into the water.

When I let him free range, he gravitates to the turtle tub. Right now, he's perched on the light stand above the turtles.

Re: Hey chomper! A challenger appears!
I wouldn't let Chomp eat your lizard.
He's happier with rats, roaches and deer meat.

Re: Hey chomper! A challenger appears!
Frillies are awesome lizards. My ex-fiance had one for about 3 years, named Sh*thead. He was the best lizard...we had a little harness for him and we'd tie him up on a 10-foot cord and he'd run around the room and go sit in a houseplant. He also loved my shirts...I'd hold him and he'd try to back down between my lovely lady lumps and snuggle in there...lol. And cameras freaked him out. Whenever you pointed a camera at him, he'd frill out and hiss and stare right at it.
I also got another Frilled about two years ago now, named Saphira. I got her from a kid off Craigslist. He'd been keeping her in the mid-60s temp-wise and with no UVB. I did my best with her, but she never ate right and only made it about another 3 months with me, despite higher temps and UVB and vitamin-enriched foods. I'd love to get another one someday. They are so neat and smart and active.
