Ringnecks are relatively small snakes. about the same size as the Storeria snake I like to keep so much. 10-15 inches is average except the "regal ringneck" A large subspecies, often exceeding 18 inches, and occasionally 24 inches

Never come across them before. very good looking snake though. Nice bright attractive colouring.

One of their defense tactics is to coil up and flash their bright underside colours. SO cute when they do that
