Hi!

Hello everyone,

How wonderful to find this forum! We want to feed our gopher snake some quail eggs, and are wondering how long we should keep the egg(s) in the enclosure if the snake doesn't eat right away. Thank you!

Re: Hi!

Hello and welcome! Wish i could help with you question. I would guess not more than 2 to 3 days as the egg would start to go bad. I would think, but i just making a guess. Would really like to see some pics of your Gopher snake.

Re: Hi!

hello and welcome.

like marvelfreak i have no experience with egg eating snakes.i would say that it should be ok to leave them in overnight as you would a rat, etc.

as said this is only my opinion as i have no experience with eggs.

its only morelia i work with.willow on here may have some knowledge of this as she's pretty clued up on most things snake related.
cheers shaun
