New Cage!! and NEW questions :p

so i have just aquired a new cage for my BP and my Dumerils. its 8ft by 2ft by 2ft and (from what i can tell) is made of 3/4" thick composite board or something similar painted black on the outside and white on the inside. its been divided into two 4'x2'x2' halfs and i being seperated by a thinner (1/8-1/4" maybe) composite board. on the outer side of each tank (so the far left and right of the tank as a whole) there is a light fixture (one of which i installed along with divider) on each side. the trouble is the old fixture has a cage to stop the snakes from getting burnt. so my questions are as follow (answer as many or a few as you please haha):
1) any idea(s) where i can find another cage thing to place over the light fixture to protect the snakes?
2) can i use my old UTH from my terrariums on this new tank? and if so how do i attach them if the adhesive doesnt work after removal?
3) what would you recommend using IN the sockets? (being they need light i may install a light hood mounted on the back for that though) i was thinking maybe some 150Watt Ceramic Heat Emitters but idk if this will be enough.
4) i was looking at heat panels, and i've only found ones that run for like 100$ for ones that are far too small for the tank i have. so i need ideas for how to get this tank up to temps before i move in the snakes? or places where i can buy heating panels that are more cost efficient.

sorry for the long post, i'll be trying to get it out in the light to take some pictures today or tomorrow. any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.

p.s. i also am trying to think of ways i can spruce up there homes so it looks nicer and IS nicer for them (esp the Dumerils) so... ideas?

over in the uk you can buy light guards on line from reptile supply shops.theres bound to be some over your way mate.try googling reptile light guards and something should turn up.or even reptile supply shops,vivarium accessorys.reptile lights and fittings.once some of the folk from the states read your post i'm sure they will point you in the right direction.

yeah, i've been looking online. everything i'm finding is either to small or the bars are to far apart to prevent the snakes from sliding straight between them and getting burnt. ah well the search continues i suppose.
