is he sick??

Hi my name is Jeff and i have had my 2 year old ball python for about a year now and have fortunatley not had any problems just recently he has been breathing heavy and is making poping noises while he breathes...Is this serious or is it normal? also for the last week or so he has not been very active and i catch him staring off into space, im getting kinda worried does anybody have any advice?

Respiratory infection, I would see a VET really soon.....

Usually a result of your temperatures being too low.

Could you kindly post your set up for us??

i would agree. sounds like a RI to me also in which case you would need to see a vet

Get thee to a good reptile vet ASAP. Untreated respiratory infections can progress to pneumonia rapidly and be fatal. Best of luck.

thanks everyone for your advice he is goin to be fine... turns out it was just a lack of hydration, i bathed him in a warm bath for about 20 min and an increase of humidity and he has been active and healthy ever since
