Re: hows your summer ???
I am from northwest Montana, about 60 miles from Canada. We get snow in August sometimes but I can drive an hour from my house and be in places at least as beautiful as that picture. Look at pictures of Glacier National Park, you can see it from my front porch. I actually hike religiously in a place that looks very similar to that. Very beautiful stuff, I am very thankful to live in a place like that.

Re: hows your summer ???
Less than an hour from my place in SW Calgary, Alberta to be in the Rocky Mtns.
Yes its true we can get freak snowstorms any month of the year but we also get many Chinooks in the winter & all & all our winters have been pretty frigging mild the last 10 years or so now, Mark

Re: hows your summer ???
I'm in Southern Ontario, Canada, and I have relatives throughout Scotland and England and they got more snow than us this year! This last winter was quite mild. I definitely prefer the heat to the cold but I don't mind Canadian winters too much...I just hang out in the dragon room ahahaha. Those heat lights work wonders.
We usually have very nice summers but the last couple years there has been a lot of rain.

Re: hows your summer ???
we've had a lot more rain than normal over the last ten years.i used to laugh when my old gran used to go on about how the summers werent as good as they used to be.i put it down to old folks tales.but our summers have gradually got worse and our winters got milder over the last 20years.we used to get a good 2 months of constant snow but the summers were a definite 2 months sun.the weather system seems to be all over the place these days.i dont know if its the much talked about global warming or just one of the many long cycles our planet and universe goes through.its worrying just what kind of planet our kids have inherited from our and previous generations.the human race has caused some amount of damage since the industrial revolution.which in the grand scheme of things was just a blink of an eye in the time line of our planet.
cheers shaun

Re: hows your summer ???
I saw a lot more evidence of what you are saying when I visited the UK.
Castles crumbling from the "acid rain" eating the limestone away, the port of Liverpool smelled like rotting bacon, stuff like that.
Our history here is much shorter, but we have managed to bugger up almost a whole continent in just over 200 years time.
In just my lifetime I have seen huge weather changes.
back in the 80's we used to have big snow storms, now we hardly get any snow.
