Re: BIG girl!!
Man she is big. Really nice looking. Sound like you might not want to move to fast around her. The retic i use to have was always watching my hands like that so he could pick were to bite me.

Re: BIG girl!!
Thanks guys. Yeah, I am being very careful with her, until I get a better feel for how she is and she gets used to me. I kind of think if she was going to bite, she would have already, but you never know. When she watches me so intently, it's like I can almost see the wheels turning upstairs, but I know they don't really think that much. She sure seems to be feeling me out..lol.

Re: BIG girl!!
Damn you and your beautiful green snakes. Hahaha. I'm super jealous. She's a big girlie, what locale is she? Do you know how old she is?
Got a name for the lovely lady yet? :P

Re: BIG girl!!
LOL. She actually seems pretty cool with me. I am almost thinking she is nearsighted or something, because she will whip her head around and touch things with her nose. No tongue-flick or mouth opening as though she wants to bite, just a quick nudge with her nose, then she will **** her head to the side and stare at what she just bumped. It's a bit weird, but I do think she is going to shed soon (her belly is all pink) so maybe her vision is a bit cloudy? I am just glad she is another handleable arboreal. I seem to be pretty lucky with them *knock on wood*! I wonder if babies produced from two docile parents will be more likely to be docile themselves- there has to be a certain degree of heritability to personality in snakes, as it is often so in mammals.

I have 2.2 ETBS
Magik and Mystery (males)
Jade and unnamed Big girl (females)
I also have 1.2 GTPs
Mystique and Sunset (females)
Archimedes (male)
By far I have to say the arboreals are my favorites to work with. They have more personality, seem to be a bit more intelligent than a lot of other snakes, and are beautiful and mysterious. There's nothing quite as awesome as looking into those heat pit-riddled faces and letting them perch on you arms. They are incredible, beautiful, amazing animals and I'm smitten..lol

Re: BIG girl!!
Oh I would imagine it would leave scars. She yawned and her teeth are massive!!! She's pretty docile, but nervous. She took a swipe at me when she was all clouded up the other day, but it was very half-***** and she didn't even come close, but I got the point and put her away. I do NOT want to be on the receiving end of a strike from her!
