Glass

Anyone know how much a 3ftx2ft sheet of glass is at home depot?
I need it for the enclosure I'm building.

Re: Glass

Try going to a local glass shop, I get "remnant" glass panels for $5 each frequently.

Re: Glass

Home Depot does not sell glass.
Try Speedy, Apple or a local glass supply.

Re: Glass

Why Glass?
I can get that size with polycarbanate for cheeper and it don't scratch and you can take a baseball bat to the stuff and you can buy it in clear 6mm thick.

Re: Glass

i was going to say the same thing, you could even go with plexi glass like i did, its not as stong ie hit with a bat, but a little cheeper than the poly and still much better than glass.as well any shop that sells it will also cut you your peices to the your exact size you need or you can do it yourself with a table saw or a skill saw just set up a fence.

Re: Glass

Yeah because a sheet of poly 3/8 would cost obout $122-130 a sheet.
And that's 3'x2' feet.
But a sheet say 3'x2' 6mm like they use on green houses will run you $30 bucks.
Yeah it's not 5 bucks for this stuff but will last forever and it won't brake

Re: Glass

I'm sorry if anyone misunderstood me, I failed to mention, I ask for the thick tempered glass.

Got 2 shower doors from a hotel prior to demolition that can stand up to a large human slipping and falling into them.

Huge, yes, can you say Savannah pen??

Re: Glass

Just buy a backhoe, a dump truck and a large flatbed trailer, then I'm sure the deal will present itself.

Re: Glass

Cuz plexiglass seems to be more expensive than regular glass a sheet half the size of what I needed was 60 dollars

Oh too bad, now you need a wrecking ball added to the list.
