Question Kingsnake

My kingsnake has been in shed for a weekend. The blue eye part ended about a week ago. Now I dont get why he isnt shedding. Should I get it off myself? Or just leave him?

Re: Kingsnake

a week or a weekend? lol i usually tend to put a larger water dish and the heat source closer to it when mine goes into shed, sometimes a bit of mist if i need to, usually comes off within a week or so though. How long has he been like this exactly?

Re: Kingsnake

nice haha i feed my king on sundays than next week is my BRB haha i cleaned his enclosure and gave him some more substrate to burrow in which seems to hold more humidity so i dont have to mist as often lol :P and he seems to like to burrow lol i thought i lost him yesterday haha

Re: Kingsnake

whether in shed or not my king lives in his water bowl.he treats it like his own personel jacuzzi.i know he's heading for a shed when he sits up his hot end for up to a week (the only time he uses his hot end),then back to the water bowl, his eyes blue up,then anything from 7 to 10 after his eyes clear up he has his shed.
cheers shaun
p.s.when are you getting your new snake hillary and have you decided what its going to be ?

Re: Kingsnake

My king likes to lay under his water bowl. Never goes on the hot side. Maybe for like 5 minutes after I feed him but thats it. New snake is going to be a Green Tree Python. Not sure when I am going to get it. I am going to see Willows first and see what they are like. And look at her snakes! I will keep you posted.
