WDB's on sand

I have been considering using reptisand as a substrate for my adult Western DiamondBack. Anybody use this with their WDB's? If so have you had any negative affects from it that would prevent you from using it again? It would be nice to add a little color.

pls dont use any sand for your WDB or almost any snake for that matter it can cause many problems impaction from ingesting it.. and sand that gets stuck in the scales well cause infections if you want to use sand you can buy scaleless rattlers for around 300 to 600$ and they love and look amazing on sand bedding. here are some other options indoor-outdoor carpet , Repti Bark , aspen , cypress mulch , Leaf litter , crushed walnut shells i would go with crushed walnut shells as its fine and closest to sand as for bedding and looks very nice ...

cypress mulch 100% i hear crushed walnut shells cause impaction but damn they look nice but ya i will never use them now just to be safe ..go with cypress mulch buy in bulk homedepot.. NO SAND

I have been keeping desert species for a while. Anyway aside from possible impaction I don't really see anything wrong with keeping it on a dirt/sand mixture. I am not undermining venomousluva I am just saying that naturally that is where they live. Anytime I have found wild rattlers, hognose vipers or bull snakes it is on the desert sand her in NM.
As long as you bake your mix to sterilize it you and your snake should be fine.
