For those who use racks/tubs..

I recently got a 5 tub 32qt Rhinoraxx.. is it a good idea to drill some holes in the "pull out" side of the tubs for ventilation? I'm just not too sure on the amount of air travel (if any) when the tubs are slid in and I don't wanna deprive my little guys of anything.

I keep a few of my critters in tubs, Personally I drill some extra air holes, some down low, some up high.

That allows for decent airflow.

Not really sure if it is necessary, but I sleep better

Thanks. They hold humidity extremely well which is working out great for their sheds. I was thinking considering their lung capacity that they would have enough oxygen considering i open them everyday but then i started to second guess myself. I'd rather risk losing some humidity quicker with a few holes in the tubs if it means they get the proper ventilation. I was also thinking that it would be easier for bacteria to grow if it wasn't able to breathe properly. I guess a couple 1/4" holes won't hurt anything.

My two littles one are in 35 qt tubs and i have about 10 holes in both ends and 15 on both sides. I have a heat pad under one 1/4 of the tub with a water bowl in the tubs half way over the heat and i keep it at about 65 to 70% humidity for my borneo. My bredli carpet i have the water bowl in the middle an it stays about 30 to 40% humidity. Next to but not over the heat pad.
