Re: photos
that male black neck and gray wanderer look amazing! how are they when you take them out? i have always found garters and ribbons rather feisty and fast paced, whereas i like those that just chill lol, beautiful collection though, and infernalis, you have sparked my interest in garters and ribbons after reading your posts and seeing your collection! lol

Re: photos
It's the activity that appeals to me, for instance my BP & corn are B.O.R.I.N.G.
My blackneck drew blood last week, I reached into her cage and startled her, she defended herself so I forgave her.
If you want a snake that will just "park on your arm" while you show it, Garters are not the snake for that.
My ribbon, well I just adore her, but never handle her, she will fling that foul musk all over the place.

Re: photos
I know. I never really thought about garters until I started reading Wayne's posts, now I think I might like one or two or more someday. My fiance says I have too many snakes already. Really depends on how you look at it...

Re: photos
They are super easy to get on pinkies, and if you run out of pinkies, they will eat night crawlers, Salmon, Tilapia or guppies. Some will even eat garden slugs.
They love amphibians too. Polliwogs and newts are like candy to them.
Many keepers including myself keep 2 or 3 in the same cage, they don't mind at all.
Try that with any other snake
