Hey from B.C.!
Hey there,
Stumbled upon this researching something for a customer at work. I've had quite a few corn snakes in the past, just rehomed a beautiful red albino a few days ago , and at present have a beautiful baby(ish) pastel red tail boa, along with a couple cats and a corgi/jack russell/chihuahua (believe me, she's way cuter than she sounds :P ). Just thought I'd sign up, say hi, be friendly, blah blah blah. I'm sure I'll think of questions and I'm always eager to learn .
So again, hey!

Re: Hey from B.C.!
Uhg I know, sucks. But I'm under the impression that if he doesn't get larger than 6' then I'm good and even then I'd only have to pay a fee and get it registered, do you know if that's true?

*The reptile restriction category refers to the total length of each individual animal. Should any one of the listed reptiles grow to be in excess of three (3) metres in length, the requirement to have a possession permit for that individual species will be in effect.

The above is taken off the BC Govts site.
You will not have to worry about your Boa until its hits in excess of 9ft, Mark

Thank you very much, yeah I figured it was something like that but i wasn't 100% sure. He's pretty small for his age so I don't think he'll ever get that big :P . Although I don't think I was told the entire truth about him because his "brother" is nearly double his size and weight and we were told they were pastels born from the same hatch (I don't think that's what you call them :P ).

Gord (Snakemaster) would be the one to ask as he likely has already "absorbed" all the new info.
There are 2 "lists" the "prohibited" & the "restricted".
The Boa falls under the "restricted" & I'm not positive on what the deal there is for breeders. I think it can still be done but under permit only? Gord? THX Mark

Re: Hey from B.C.!
Okay thank you, I'd love to hear what Gord has to say. That's along the lines of what I thought but she was adament that there was a zero policy. That just seems a little extreme. If it so I'm moving to Alberta! haha
