Dropping my baby

I'm usually laying on my stomach or sitting when it happens but none the less its disturbing. I'm a first time snake owner and I just got a baby corn snake in late august I think it was... anyway he's itty bitty and on two maybe three occasions, while he usually holds on to my hand well, he lets go completely and falls off. Now the last time I caught him and it hasn't happened for a while since I'm being as careful as I can but I think dropping him traumatized me more than it did him. He seems to be just fine but is this something I should be concerned about? I handle him every day or every other day so he gets used to being handle and stays used. I tried looking for some other post on this site and others for something on this but all that I found was related to the snake biting or striking at people which is irrelevant in my case... anyway any input would be overly appreciated I'm just not sure if I should be worried or if it's something I'm doing or who knows maybe he's alittle ******** i have no clue.

thanks to anyone who comments

Re: Dropping my baby

seems like your handling sessions are stressing this baby out and hes trying his best to get away from you. try reducing your daily handling sessions to maybe a few times a week. until he gets a bit more used to you, you can try handling him within his enclosure so that if he does decide to jump and you do drop him, the fall wont be too high and the risk of injury is reduced.

hope this helps.
