Hello from Queensland

Hi my name is Joy and as I'm new to your forum I thought I should tell you a little bit about myself.

I'm actually one of the partners in an Australian reptile magazine called Scales & Tails Australia.

As a family we have been keeping and breeding reptiles for about 15 years now, but it's mainly my sons (both adults) who do most of the work related to that. I just try to help where I can and stay out of their way.

I'll look forward to getting to know everyone in time.

Cheers
Joy

Re: Hello from Queensland

Welcome. That's super cool. The main reptile mag we have here in north America isn't too good. What kind of reptiles do you keep/breed? What's your favourite?

That is cool-my fiance and I are just starting up a snake-breeding business; it's hard but fun! Welcome to Ssnakess and look forward to hearing about the herps you're keeping and your business!

Welcome to the forum! You are lucky to live in Australia and see all those wonderful herps so many of us want but can't have.

Re: Hello from Queensland

Hi again and thanks for the welcome.

siz: my favourite reptile is the Black Headed Python, which my younger son Denver is known for breeding over here in Australia. He's working on some great lines. We breed quite a few others as well including olives, womas, gtps, childrens, jungles, diamonds.

willow: I agree about the hard work. Good luck to you and your fiance with your new business venture. We love what we do.

jonny: We realise how lucky we are over here with our herps. That's one of the reasons we are going to be bringing our magazine over to North America soon. We think it will be hugely popular.

Once again, thanks for making me feel so welcome.

Cheers
Joy
