If you can try to get a good look at him, if he looks cloudy and hazy, he is going into shed. But just from the behavior you are mentioning, my guess would be he's shedding as well. When they enter the shed cycle, the eyecaps and whole body clouds up, and they cannot see well. So he will be defensive and aggressive, because everything looks like vague, threatening shadows to him. After about a week or so, he will clear up and look like new, then within a few days, he will shed. Check the skin, it should come off in one nice piece- if not, then increase the humidity. Does he have a water bowl large enough for him to fully submerge himself in to soak? If not, try to get him one. Other than that, relax and enjoy- shedding is always interesting to watch!
