I've never personally owned leos but I've owned cresteds geckos, and although I have never owned both I am leaning towards cresties. They are a little more jumpy but the biggest reason I say this is because you don't need to feed them crickets. You can feed them a powdered diet called
Crested Gecko Diet(CGD). CGD is a complete diet and be fed exclusivley - no crickets! A lot of people find their cresties grow faster if fed crickets a couple times a week in addition to the diet though. It's fun to watch geckos chase down crickets but it's nice when you don't need to keep them in the house. Make sure you gutload the crickets from the petstore and then you're good to go!
Also in the long run it is cheaper because cresties
a)don't eat as many crickets
b)don't need lights (their temps are mid 70s)
c)you can get buckskin or 'normal' cresties which are very cheap..around $60 or real stunners for up to around $300
......go rhacs!!!
