Re: March 1st

wow so went to the show yesterday with my girlfriend and it was pretty good. The indiana state fair grounds are huge and there is no grass to be seen which is kind of weird because it's a fair grounds. but anyways the walk was about a mile from where we had to park because of the boat show and the motorcycle show going on. the walk was in sub-zero wind chill and that sucked. my girlfriend was not happy about it either.

After we got there it was pretty good. there were a ton of awesome morphs and some really good deals on supplies. unfortunately i only left with two live rat crawlers and 20 frozen ones. i wanted a couple of the boas i saw but mom and dad said they would kick me out

anyways sorry no pics because i forgot to charge my camera and there were so many people there it would have been hard to really have gotten any good pics.

I was really surprised to see so many animals that didn't really look all that healthy....it was really sad to see so many animals that had really bad sheds and also some that has retained sheds. also there were a couple snakes that were almost stuffed into thier show boxes. and i mean they couldn't move their heads an inch without struggling. and the way some of the people there handled their snakes. there was one guy that had a 4-5 foot boa and was just swinging it around holding on to one coil at a time and just going about business and he was reaching in boxes and hitting it on stuff without thinking or caring and he was trying to sell it.

anyways even with the negative stuff it was pretty cool and it was really cool to see the different breeds and morphs and colors. got to hold a 15 ft retic that was really cool and really kinda scarry when it started to coil around me so i just got it off me really quickly.

There is tons more but im tired of typing so all in all i highly recommend going to any reptile show you can. also get your supplies there because they are much cheaper than the pet store.

Geez; I'm really saddened to hear that. Maybe those are the breeders who end up selling to the pet stores . . .

Wish I could have gone, too!
