Canada is America, too!
(teasing--but it's true!)
You've got a good point about learning more and becoming well-prepared before getting into breeding snakes, Ringo. You caught a little flak because people were concerned about your snakes; no one intended to offend you, just make sure the snakes were going to be well. Live & learn, that's my motto!
Sometimes when they are kept together, they can get really stressed. That will affect their eating and overall health. Worst case, you'll lose one. Most snakes are generally solitary creatures except for breeding or keeping warm in winter--a few species will form a ball of snakes for that purpose, but it's very temporary and they go their own ways when the temps rise.
So those people who seemed like "know-it-alls" were sharing their experience--which is way beyond mine and yours--for the benefit of your snakes.
I'm curious about your grumpy alligator, but we're hijacking Askook's thread.
Sorry, Askook!
So back to Askook's plan--I'm still curious about the dark brown morph you're considering--what morph?
