How does breeding work for the owner of a male

I recently bought a het for albino Ball Python. He is about a year old or so.
I don't know the first thing about breeding. I mean do I stud him out, like they do w/dogs. Sorry if that sounds stupid, but I don't have anything else to compare it too. Also how does picking one of the snakes for myself work. If him & the female produce any albinos I want one. What if there is only one albino? Do I get to pick since I have the male? Please educate me!

you wont really be able to "stud out" a het male albino unless you have a friend who has an albino or het albino female. if you actually do have a friend with one of those then the terms of who gets what after the eggs hatch are decided by you guys. other than that i would suggest reading up on breeding and what its gonna take and if youre still interested maybe investing in a het female youreself.

No questions are stupid--it's always better to ask than to make mistakes due to lack of good information! This is a great place for the good info, from what I can see from my browsing!

If you happen to "stud" him out to someone who has only a het albino female, and there's only one albino, usually the person with the female snake would get it. Their snake did the most work, took the most risk, they raised the snake for longer than you did, and incubated the eggs.

I know you're new and all but good luck finding anyone who will enter into a breeding loan. I wouldn't do it with the best known breeder here in Canada as I've been burned before. Best of luck.

I would just get both halves of the pair you want to breed. That way you own both nd all of the babys. Of course after researching on google, So you know what all you want to try and produce So you know what.
