Re: clumsy ball python
Can you explain in more detail how you believe she has IBD? That's a serious concern, not just for you and any other animals you keep but also for the seller.

Re: clumsy ball python
Reptile relief is garbage. Look up other mite posts, and there's been one recently. There should be a link to a proper treatment using the product Nix. Just follow the directions and be sure to use it only dilluted.
Lastly, my ball pythons have done that before. They tend just to see how high they can get and sometimes fall because they over extended themselves. It's not ibd if a snake is just curious.

Re: clumsy ball python
Thanks. I didn't know reptile relief was garbage. But it seems to be working. If I keep seeing it I will try the other product you suggested. What about the upside down thing that is going on. Is that supposed to happen?

Re: clumsy ball python
You have a branch in with your ball python that you are trying to threat for mites? BAD idea. Remove EVERYTHING form her enclosure and treat it and LEAVE IT OUT until you are sure they're all gone. Bake the branch in the oven to kill all mites and eggs as well as anything else that you can.
Better yet, Google "snake mites" for some complete how to 's or do a simple search on this site. Good luck.

Re: clumsy ball python
all my balls climb up the side and fall over, they are just exploring, i dont think they are clumsy.
do you have mites or are you just treating for them to make sure you dont?

Re: clumsy ball python
i dont think you need to go to the vet sounds like a waste of money to me if she is still eating.
buy a jar of nix for 10 bucks at shopper drug mart and buy a few litres of spring water and mix a solution up. spray that snake down everywhere and keep in in an empty tank with just paper towels down for a week then treat it again and leave it with paper towels down for a week. then put everything back normal and she should be good. nix kills em' all every time. good luck!

Also make sure there's a water dish in with the snake.

Re: clumsy ball python
No need for spring water. Tap water will do just fine.

Re: clumsy ball python
yes this is true you can use tap water, but i have heard the solution keeps longer when made with spring water and it is stored in a dark place.
also, use the FULL bottle of nix cream and mix it with one liter of water.
This is the link for the tutorial i used to treat with nix

Isn't this the second or third time someone has mentioned having to use spring water over tap water? Michael I just quote you because you're correct.
