Exclamation Leperd Gecko Loneliness

Hi. Bosc08 here. I have a female leoperd gecko who been alone for nearly a year. I do want to purchase her a friend on the oncoming Reptile Show. Do you think it is a good idea because I think she really needs a friend. She is about six inches. I hope you could help me and thanks.

She is in a 20 gallon tank

Re: Leperd Gecko Loneliness

First, reptiles are NOT social creatures. I'm fairly certain that they only come together for breeding purposes. So that being said your gecko does NOT need a companion for company.

If you DO decide to go ahead with your idea, then could you quarentine the new animal for a period of 60 - 90 days before introducing the two as a measure to make sure the new animal doesn't have any sickness.

I'm also pretty sure I'm repeating myself from a previous thread, although that one had to do with snakes.
