Unhappy HELP!!! Leopard Gecko lost tail!!

Hmm I dont know what happened really, I was feeding my lizard that I have had for around 6 years now and it just freaked out for some reason and ran. I might have moved a bit fast but nothing I havent done before?!? I have a nice little cave hide for it and it might have hit is tail going inside it ran so fast or its tail just dropped as it was going in, but what do I do now? The whole tail came off about 1 centimeter from behind its hind legs, and didnt bleed too much. Scared the living daylights out of me at first, all I saw was the tip of the tail flailing around and it kinda bounced out of the cave. Wiggled for a good little time, like 5 mins or more, I guess this is to make preditors go for it. Feel so bad.

Questions:

Do I have to try and put something on to prevent infection? She has always been very shy so I dont handle her that much so trying to do this could be a huge problem.

Will her tail grow back?

Should I feed her anything special as she just lost a lot of body fat and weight and is probably not feeling to great?

You don't really need to put anything on the tail. It will be fine. It will grow back but it won't look as good as the original. Also it will take some time but it will happen.

If you want you can feed her some waxworms and meal worms. I think they have a higher fat content.
