ZooMed Halogen Spot Lamps

I'm looking for a few new basking lights, and I fell upon the ZooMed halogen spots. They look like they could be good, but I don't remember halogen lights producing too much heat, am I wrong? Has anybody used these bulbs?

Thanks

Re: ZooMed Halogen Spot Lamps

Bring out the natural, vibrant colors of your herp with this high quality bulb. Emits 15% more heat, light, and UVA output than standard basking spot lamps. Creates the optimum environment for your animal. Guaranteed to last up to one year for an average of 5000 hours.

thats a direct quote from the zoomed site. lol in my experience the halogen bulbs have produced much more heat than regular spots.
like a 100W basking bulb is prolly equal to 75W halogen i know i had a 150w regular on my uro's and when i moved to halogen it was only 100W and it was hotter. and much brighter light too i really liked it, well worth the 100% price increase
150w -11.99
100w halogen -19.99
