Work Placement?

Hey guys, I know I havent been on here in absolutely ages, but i used to advise people on leopard geckos and beardies, but was now wondering if anyone can advise me on something.

Im in my second year of a degree and need a work placement next year. Now I can get a work placement easy enough, but want one involving reptiles, coz well they're just awesome and I know loads about them already. But finding rep-related work in the UK or even abroad is proving quite difficult...

Does anyone know any places or colleagues whom may have some work? Im talking about scientific research related and not just working in the local reptile store. So if anyone knows any buddies from reptile research centres then I would really appreciate the help? As we all know we need some more serious herpetologists around, my uni doesnt have one... gutting...
