ok i have read up on the nix thing but i don't know what a litre is? is it close to a gallon? so far as i can tell dremora is good to go. dremora still has not eaten since the shed and i was worried so i took her to the vet yesterday. the vet said she was mite free as far as she can tell and looked healthy, she looked in her mouth and said it looked good too. the only thing she could see is that the snake still has shed on its head and told me that she needs more humidity in her tank.

heres the question...how do i put more humidity in the tank? and keep it there, i finally got the temperature figured out but i have to use a heat lamp during the day hours. i know the lamp drys it out in there but i mist liberally like 2-3x a day. i cannot get the tank temp up to correct levels without the light during the day and its ok at nite..just too cool for day time hours.

right now dremora has not eaten since before her shed...umm around 2 weeks or so ago, i have tried to entice the feed but she wont strike. she follows the mouse around the tank and i keep a close eye on it. i leave the mouse in there for like a half hour and watch over dremora and if she dont eat i take the mouse out and put it up. the vet said it could be from the incomplete shed. its eyes look like they are cracked ...like a pie chart. i KNOW thats from the incomplete shed! any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

One of the biggest things with balls is to learn not to worry over a few skipped meals; for snakes in general when it comes to eating patience is the biggest key. So in this time leave her alone and offer her food once a week, if in a few weeks she shows no interest then we can think about trying a few tricks.

In nature they come from a rather dry enviroment, but down in the burrows they hide in its very moist. I love humid hides for balls, it gives them the oppurtunity to choose their humidity as well as making it much easier then maintianing a humidity within the enclosure which sometimes isnt good for them either. Just a plastic container with a hole in it and some damp moss or something is all you need.

I will say that if you contunue to take your ball python to the vet every time she misses a few meals, you will be BROKE in no time. Instead, go to a pet store or do a simple search online and find a few books about the captive husbandry of ball pythons. 95% of your questions will be answered within them.

Oh yeah in case your still wondering, or anyone else for that matter a liter is really close to a quart. A liter is about 5% bigger.
