Strange looking Pee

Today right after i cleaned my snakes cage he took a pee. First he took a normal looking one that looked like it was forced out with some juices or some sort of liquid shot out(kinda like an explosion). Second something that looked like liquid poop came out. Then an small oval shapped thing that was white and had yellow spots on it came out. It was also kinda hard and about maybe a centimeter long(i felt to see if the last one was hard for not just to be sure it wasent bad with rubber gloves, so don't think i'm weird or something). Please comment back.

Re: Strange looking Pee

What you are describing is a typical urate. They are kinda like mini "kidney stones". Very common, nothing to worry about. Mark

I would recommend that you go see a doctor about that right away........

My buddies "poop" out a funny looking nearly cylindrical white urate with a little yellow button in the middle, unlike the normal urate "lump" that they normally let me clean up.

I figured it was a little wierd, but they all do it periodically (in different species) so it must be normal.

Re: Strange looking Pee

My ball python was born in the spring and she only took 1 poop since i got her. I have been feeding her very well. She has a great appetite but don't they poop once every month or so. I have owned her since the end of Aug! She pooped like the 2nd week after i got her. Is this normal?

Re: Strange looking Pee

Also how do you keep the humidity up? Her terrarium is usually at 20% This is too low.

Re: Strange looking Pee

Mine usually go every week, about 4 or 5 days after they eat.

Humidity--depends on the type of cage. You may have to cover most of the top if it's screen. Putting a water bowl right over the heat pad can help a lot.

Without knowing the kind of environment your Ball is in, it's hard to tell. How is the humidity, is there fresh water available, what is the temps and how do you monitor them?

Answers to these questions (pictures would help) can do a lot to help a person arrive at a conclusion.
