First Breed

I put my boas together one week ago, and today first witnessed some courting. He was on her all day almost. I still cannot seem to get pics on here, so a friend has set me up a Photobucket site. I only have a few pics of the collection, more will slowly come on as I figure it out. There is a few pics of the tails, the red and light cream is Spade, ( female) and the darker is Rooney. I cant wait to see what the babies will look like! The picture of them " cuddling " has Rooney's head on top of Spade's. Also, if anyone who has bred these beauties before wants to share some experience with someone who will appreciate it, please dont be shy. I am an experienced non-venomous snake keeper who is on his first boa breed.

Re: First Breed

Cheers, Joe. The Taiwan is about 7 foot 3 inches. Amazing display snake she is always basking on the vines you see her on. The enclosure measures 3x3x5 tall. She always feeds like an aboreal boa or python, striking, constricting, and consuming the rat all while hanging off of the vines. I will post plenty of pictures of this in the future.

Re: First Breed

Good job, I have heard that it's not that easy to get BCC and BCI to breed, different cycles etc... You do realize that you will have to let people know that the babies are crosses when you sell them though right?

Re: First Breed

I always offer an opportunity to view the parents to anyone interested in the babies. Is it normal for my male to be "protecting" the female?? He has become quite aggressive since he started courting.
