Re: new ball soon
Ok, well have you owned any ball pythons before? They are pretty basic. One way to set up a young ball is to house it in a 10 gallon aquarium. Use a heatpad on one side. Two hides, one on the hot side and one on the cool side. A water dish large enough for it to soak in. I would use a rheostat to regulate the heatpad temperature. You would want it at about 85 degrees. That would be the the most basic set up. Cost wise, depending on where you bought everything, I'd say 150 to 200 for the set up. Give or take 10 bucks.
I don't reccommend a heatlight. The heatpad should suffice for the temperature in the cage. Heat lights will suck out any humidity, especially in top opening glass tank.
