New Pet

I bought this yesterday for my daughter. Its a Peruvan Colombian Suriname Readtail Boa. I bought the male, my buddy bought the female... we have a long time before they can breed lol. The guy @ the expo said he will only grow to 6' long.

Re: New Pet

LOL....I wouldn't count on that man.....having Peruvian Blood in him could tip the scales to larger side.

Good looking snake though! Congrats!

Re: New Pet

Hmmmmm, well that is rather interesting. Well I suppose it's possible....perhaps the mix of 3 locals dummed it down a little. Hard to say man, you'll just have to wait and see now....it's really hard to predict anything with cross breeds but the potential for size is there, both Peruvian and Suriname Locals are known for getting good size.

Either way you got yourself a nice looking boa, so you didn't really get the shaft so to speak. LOL

Re: New Pet

No worries man, have to say he has some interesting orange highlights...should be neat to see how it progresses as it matures.
