hows he doing

Is my ball python alright he only shed his tail im sorry if this is a thing that happens alot I just have never seen a snake do that I thought they shed in 1 piece

If the rest of the skin is ready to come off and he's got proper humidity he'll shed it off without issue. You may want to soak him or make a shed tub to make things easier if he's having a hard time

A shed tub is basic a plastic container with moss in it that is damp. You dont want to soak the moss. Put the lid on the container and make sure there is a good sized round hole cut in the top. Put the shed tub inside the cage. Make sure you get a big enough container that the snake can move freely.

is it true that that they cant eat well there in shed. what humidity level should he be at.

During a shed cycle humidity should be very high. They can eat whether in shed or not, some snakes tend not to eat while in shed though so most folks don't bother until after the cycle is complete, Mark
