Albino Boa Ovulation Pic.
Here is one big momma. 8.5 feet long over 40lbs and I think she is going to blow.
I have seen boas ovulate before but not like this.
Check it out!!
Here is a side view.
I really hope all goes well.
Wish me luck.
Dan.

I do not know how many she is going to have for sure but, I bought her and the male from another breeder last year. She had been bred and was gravid unfortunately while he was out of town his herp room got up to 120 degrees F or more for a day or so. We think this big temp increase may have killed the developing ova even if they were fertile and she dropped them early as well.
She dropped 53 slugs last year!!!!
It was also her first breeding season so there could be alot of other variables on why she did not produce but the temp thing could have definately been enough on its own.
I am not counting my boas before they are born but everything seems to be going well so far but there is a long way to go yet.
The male albino I bred her to is currently breeding another common female so if he has a fertility problem I hope to find out as well. If both the albino and common females slug out then he could be the problem.
I guess only time will tell. It sure would be nice to have a pile of baby albinos this spring and yes they will be for sale.
I will post pics and info as time progresses. I hope this year I can actually capture one of the births first hand and not just find a pile of little ones in the morning.
Take care.
Dan.
