The past two days I've been hiking at the falls I have seen more wildlife than I have in my entire life hiking around there. I don't know what it is about this season but I am NOT complaining. LOL Usually I'm lucky to see a chipmunk.
Here's a little baby garter that I found, VERY docile.
Mr. Groundhog Gopher type guy in the right bottom corner there

Wow nice finds! It's always a nice surprise when you get lucky like that.
By the way, do you happen to know what species those frogs are? I was at a friend's camp a while ago and we caught a dozen of those guys in the pond near there but I'm a snake guy not a frog guy so I don't know what species they are lol. Can anyone give me an I.D.?
Well I'm very much a snake girl haha But I think they're leopard frogs? Or green frogs? haha Yeah I suck. I couldn't even ID my little snakey friend and unfortunately the camera was not enjoying the snake and I couldn't get a close up.

I wish I could find a place around here with more snakes. I'll keep hunting. I was shocked that we found ONE snake, Duchesnay Falls is very busy with human activity.
