Actually mice are very high in fat and shouldn't be fed very often, Milo only gets one or 2 mice a month, otherwise his main diet consists of differnt types of fish (what it should be) Anything from bait minnows, to smelt, salmon, trout, even sunfish and stuff that we catch when we go fishing, also I feed him whole uncooked shrimp for calcium, tadpoles, crayfish, and an occasional treat of beef heart strips or nightcrawlers. Variety is very important to the long term health of these guys. He also gets a variety of aquatic plants to munch on everyother month.
