There's lots out there. How much are you willing to spend? I like our sony mavica cd-300 but it's not cheap for an initial out lay but the storage is cheap and conveinent. the canons are suppoesd to be good and the nikons too.

Country:
I posted a link to a website in my reply to "Camra for christmas" by Dave just a couple of days ago.
The webiste has all the info you'd want about any digital you can find, including write-ups about what and where the buttons and dials are, sample photos, and price range (in US$, but it will give you an idea of what to expect in your range).

I prefer Olympus cameras, film or digital. My digital is the Olympus C3030 Zoom (now outdated by a few models, but works beautifully)

Paul,

Look at Linds pictures, she is using a Canon A40. It sells for under CDN$400, and takes really nice macro shots.

Another model to consider is the Nikon coolpix 2500, which sells for CDN$450. It looks really spiffy, and takes nice macro shots too. The price on this model should go down as its newer brother, the coolpix 3500 floods the market.

Hope this helps.
