need help with all of my turtles

First I have a red eared slider recently baught for my 6 year old. he seems to be spending lots of time out of the water,
I have him in about 4 and 1/2 inchs of water with a log to get completely out of the water and a rock he can rest on mostly out of the water. he pretty much gets on the log out of the water and stays there there. Also he seems to maybe have a RI as he had what looks like bugers on his nose when I got home from work, and he's very inactive.



Now for my other two turtles these guys I dont know what they are a friend of mine was mowing his lawn and very on accident ran over a turtle when he went to look at what he hit there was two turtles of diff sizes but same breed rite near where it happened. Well I keep snakes but he figured he would give them to me.
As for that they are small one about 2 inchs round the other about 1 inch round. unlike my slider they have raised shells, my dad called them box turtles around here you see them on the side of the road all the time. well they dont seem to want to eat though they may be. very inactive also wich I figured to be shock so they are in a back room beng left alone other htan water and food. The water they drink or at least appear to im worried about the none eating thing though

Any Advice at all on either or both problems would be great thnx!

RES often bask out of the water for large amounts of the time. Here at the phoenix zoo there's a giant pond at the entrance with hundreds of them and a couple other exotic species introduced to lakes and streams in arizona. About 10% of their turtles are always on the logs except when it rains(about 10 times a year), so don't worry too much, maybe he was kept outside of water with his last owner and just needs time to come around. As for the others, it very well could be stress if they were anywhere near that mower, and I don't know of anyway to get them to eat except try try try.

If it has an RI & is inactive it is TOO COLD! What are the temps of the water & does it have a spot to bask properly out of the water under both heat & UVB bulbs? It needs to be able to get totally out of the water & under the proper lighting. Turtles require the proper lights & temps otherwise will suffer health wise. What foods are being offered to the Box turtles? Do they also have heat & UVB lighting? What are they in for a setup? They require heat/light as well & I would suggest just releasing those near where they were found as they are likely stressed right out. I would google both species & find some decent care sheets for both & if unable to provide what they require find someone who can provide it. Turtles & tortoises require quite a bit more care than most folks realize & aquatic turtles require large tanks of water with large filters & lots of water changes to be properly taken care of. An adult RES should be in at least a 50g tank + with weekly water changes. The proper lighting is a BIGGEE & if it is not provided they will suffer in the long run & be sick, the proper temps are a must too as you already have one sick aquatic turtle that needs warmer temps ASAP, Good Luck Mark

I had tried lettuce and tomatoe with the box turtles now Im trying apples I also have a source of lite now on both boxes for all 3 turtles wich is full spectrum and will warm them up alot.
Sadly, I do not feel that putting the turtles back is a good idea what with the mowing and the big turtle they were with being killed. I will work however on making there new home as good as it can be made. thnk you for those tips/ Gone they have helped allready in better taking care of these guys.

box turtles eat bugs.

as well once there healthy again its best off to realease them as gonesnakee said.. most ppl cannot provide the stuff for turtles little own box turtles..

the general rule for turtles is 6x the lenght of the shell and 6x the width of the shell for cage sizing.
