Feeding Frozen rats

I was wondering how you guys prepared your frozen rats, etc. I usually let them thaw out, then put them in the microwave for a few moments to let the rat or whatever im feeding warm up. I was just wondering what your guys's methods were. I dont live anywhere near a pet shop, so i cannot buy live food.:medbignos

i soak mine in warm water until the rat or rabbit is fully thawed

I would never use a microwave for starters. Most folks use warm water. I have used heat lamps in the past. Now I usually thaw them prior in the fridge overnight & then use a heat pad to warm them up. Whatever method is used I recommend thawing them first & then warming them. Carefull not to cook them, if they get too hot the guts blow out of them, especially when struck & constricted making a big gross gutty mess. Mark

ya nuking them is a big no no.. espically since the microwave heats the inside first then the outside... your gonna seriously hurt your snake.. NEVER MICROWAVE FEEDERS...

use warm water heat pad lights if your in a majour rush go buy a heat gun from canadian tire.. there on sale for 18 bucks.. but DO NOT NUKE THEM

This isn't true microwaves cook outside to in, just like every other heating device.

But as for the original post, I use warm water or even chicken broth if you have a finicky eater.
