Is It A Fire Hazzard
ok i was thinking of switching all all my snakes from glass tanks to a rubbermaid snake rack but my dad got a little worried when i told him i was putting heat tape in the rack but he says that it would be a major fire hazzard :greenflam :greenflam so if any one can comment and tell him that it really isnt that bad PLZ do so

Professional reptile breeders world wide use racks with heat tape. If done properly it is no more of a fire hazard than a heat lamp or pad. Mark

Make sure someone who knows what they are doing for sure builds the rack though, Mark

precaution
just to be safe though I insulated the wire and clamp with silicone, if that helps your arguement any?

well i was thinking of wirering it into a regulator and that should pretty much cut out the fire hazzard
