4 Months and counting....

It seems my python regius has gone on a fasting streak. This is my first time with the snake fasting on me and its been almost 4 months now. I know python regius are notorious for going really long periods of time without eating, even up to a year and beyoned from what I was told. But I'm starting to get a little concerned because he showes no interest in almost anything anymore. Usually he comes out and wanders around the tank some even comming right out and having a visit with me. But since his last feeding, he has barely poked his head out of his cave in 3 months. All of my temps seem to be correct along with every other environment controlled issue but it's almost like he's depressed. I'm not even sure he's even thermoregulating anymore....
I have checked him out for any type of diseases he may have but none seem to be present. His water is always fresh, changed daily and I will say I have seen him drink quite a bit though.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

My female went through a 9 month fast . She drove me nuts with it. I took her to the vet twice and was told both times it was just the time of year. If his behavior has changed considerably and you're concerned, a vet visit might put you at ease.

one of ours is doing this for the 2nd time first time was last year from November to new year, this time its been since end of October.

had him backwards and forwards to the vets last time as we didnt know what was going on - everything else was normal

so long as theres no weight loss or severe signs of anything else were just leaving him to and trying him every other time we feed the other ball python as hes still showing interest but just not taking

Yeah they are known for that, longest recorded was 23 months i think. As long as theres no major weight loss or he isnt sick then theres nothing to worry about. A guy i know had his go for a year.
