Question Experiences with Chlorhexadine Diacetate as a herp enclosure disinfectant.

Hi,

I'm considering using chlorhexadine diacetate solution to disinfect all my herp enclosures. Up until now I've always used soap and water. I see chlorhexadine offerred for sale and advertised as "safe" but I have no personal experience with this stuff. I would really appreciate hearing your opinions and personal experiences with this product regarding it's effectiveness, safety and proper amount of chlorhexadine per gallon of water. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
