Breeding question?

What would I get if I bred a Male 100% Het orange ghost, 50% Het axanthic to a normal female?? I am so confused with all these genetics!!

Regards

Country:
you would get 50% possible het ghosts, 25% possible het anxanthics, it would be hard to sell as possible het axanthics so I would probably sell them for the price of a possble het ghost and say there is a small chance that they will also be het axanthic. Good luck.

Cheers mate. How would I then go about creating an orange ghost? Breed one of the little un's back to dad, (hoping that it picked up the het orange ghost genes) which would leave me with 1/4 of them being orange ghosts?? Is this correct??

That would work.

Or, if you get the chance, upgrade to an unrelated male that is for sure double het for both ghost and the same line of axanthic. That way you don't inbreed and if it turns out your original het ghost male missed his 50% chance of being het axanthic at least you eventually get a shot at true ghost (double homozygous ghost and axanthic). It might take a while but I think that combo would be worth waiting for. Maybe by the time the daughters of the original male are a year or two old a 100% double het true ghost male will not be as expensive as now.
