Question UTH qustion

This may be a stupid qustion.

Should I have my uth on a timer with my lighting or should I keep the uth on 24/7 and monitor the temps?

The highest I have seen the temps in my snakes hot hide is 95, average being around 91.

At night when the uth turns off the temp drops to around 83 or so

Thank in advance.

There's no need to drop your temps at night. You'd be fine to leave the UTH on 24/7. Most people do, I think, just to be totally sure that night temps aren't dropping too low.

Just leave it on 24/7 but make sure you have it pluged into a lamp dimmer to keep the heat from getting too hot or low.
