No poop?

I brought home my blood python on Oct 2. It has eaten every week since I brought it home. However, I still have not seen any poop. Its about 17 to 18 inches now, has not shed since I brought it home, and it has not pooped, unless I just cant find the poop. I could always find my ball python's poop when I had one. But I dont remember how long it took it to poop the first time either.... Is this normal? I am thinking it is not pooping because it is still growing, and keeping every bit of nutrient its body can get ahold of, and that its body has no waste yet? Its behavior has not changed since I brought it home. I think it urinated in its water dish early this morning because there was some kind of white slimy stuff floating in it when I went to change it. Any help would be good please...

I wouldn't worry yet...could be that he is still stressed out b/c of the change. I have found that my little bloods/borneos don't deficate that often either. My adults poo every 1 1/2 months or so. I thought it was because they were large, heavy snakes that the digestion was slower. Maybe it's just the species of snake?

As for the white slimy stuff...it could be urates...hard to say...all my snakes urates are always pellets...chalky white pellets. Whether it's in the water or not. But like I said, make sure you keep your husbandry at the proper levels and soon enough you will find some poo to clean up Just wait until it is fully grown...you'll wish that you never had the snake in the first place when you are breaking the poo up because it won't flush in the toilet because it is so big

Ok, like I said, I have barely had it a month yet, and was just wondering before I started to get worried. That's funny about having to break up the poop to flush it!! LOL!!

I think it might poop soon. It has a bulge right in front of the vent, and part of it feels firm like the white urate ball.

Still no poop. I hope I am not freaking out for no reason. I noticed today that about the last 6 inches of its body the bottom goes from flat to kinda round and bulging. Certainly the poop cant be that big can it? I took some pics of what I am talking about. Has anyone else ever noticed this with thier snake? Is it normal? Should I see a vet? I dont want to end up with a dead snake here, behaviour seems to be normal still.

Pics are not the best, but I think you will be able to see what I am talking about. Just wondering about the size because the snake is only about 18 inches long.

How are your temps? If they are a touch low it could mess with digestion a bit. If you are concerned, i would give him a warmish bath and soak for 15 mins or so, they will tend to poop into the water.......

Took the snake to the vet yesterday. Vet found an impaction. Turned out to be a huge ball of urates that would not pass for some reason. After that came out, so did 2 huge snake turds. I dont think I have ever been so happy to see poop!!
