Idea 1: look everywhere, and I do mean every-freakin'-where. He can fit into things 1/10th the size you think he can. He can climb blank walls. He can leap tall buildings in a sing...umm....forget I said that but look everywhere.

Idea 2: put crinkly paper all over the place, and sit quietly at night in the dark with flashlight in hand waiting to hear something and then spring into action

Idea 3: Spread corn starch around the baseboards and across doorways so you can check for his travels when you're not home.

Idea 4: If your cat starts acting strangely, pay attention.

Never give up hope. You may find him months later. He might even be fatter when you find him than when he went missing.

Sometimes a snake will return to its enclosure especially if it is warmer so you may want to leave it open. Could even put in a thawed mouse in there after a few days and wait up to see if the snake comes for it. Leave water in for the snake too.

Snakes can live a long time between meals so even if you do not find him right away he will probably be ok.

If you hear a family member scream you will know where the snake is.
