Keeping the smell away

It is getting to the time where it is costing me $20-$30 a week on food for my reptiles which Is taking alot of my money up. I would like to breed mice, rats and crickets but I live with my parents and they dont want me to because they say "They smell" Would it be possible to keep them in the crawl space under the house all year? It is probably a little cooler then the actual hour but otherwise its pretty warm if u go from a cold day and walk into there as thats where are water heater is, etc. But I would rather have an easier access like in the house but again, they stink. Any ideas to keep them from being smelly?
